Customer: “Would you say pastrami is in the corned beef family?”
Me: “Sure, they’re pretty similar. Pastrami has pepper on the outside.”
Him: “I used to buy a pack of corned beef for $4.99, add some swiss cheese, and have myself a sandwich. You can’t get a sandwich like that anywhere but New York!”
Me: “Oh, I don’t know. There are some good delis in the Detroit area.”
Him: “Nowhere but New York!”
Me: “So, can I get anything for you?”
Him: “No, I’m fine.”
